Music has given so many artists a voice and a platform for which they can choose to be political or not. Many famous celebrities have been transparent about their own jurisdiction on their social media. Ken Kurson believes that as this new age of elections comes forward, musicians are going to get much more involved.

Taylor Swift released a political song last year named, “You Need To Calm Down” all about her political viewpoints. It’s been established that this is a new wave of music but nevertheless, very popular. Billie Elish, a pop star sensation, also releases a song called “My Future”. It’s all about the power of voting and urges young people to do their civic duties this coming November. As more and more songs are released, more might have political references in them. Regardless if we like the song or not, the lyricists and performers usually stand for something. By listening and supporting their music, one can say they take a political stand with them. Ken Kurson is excited to see where music will grow. There is so much to be uncovered by every artist and so much to share with the world as well.
